KATHMANDU, June 4: After its poster regarding food security situation in quake-hit districts drew criticisms in social media platforms, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Nepal Office has said that it would change content of its poster within a day or two.The poster, which was made public within few days of the earthquake of April 25, carries two lines -- "More than one million people are still hungry" and "Donate Food Today".Officials of Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD) says 'hungry' is not the right terminology to describe our condition. "They should have used 'food-insecure' in their poster," an official of MoAD said, preferring anonymity.
Talking to Republica, Iolanda Jaquemet, communications officer of WFP, said that the poster was based on estimates of the affected people immediately after the earthquake" "But we will change the text slightly within one or two day"," added Jaquemet.
